Incidents are frequently confined to a specific geographic area and may be best handled by a select group of trained telecommunicators. Rather than route all multimedia calls for service to all positions, TEXTBLUE-MIM routes either based upon location or content to designated telecommunicators.
A custom automated reply message is sent to wireless users so they are aware as to how their call is being handled. This alleviates congestion in the PSAP or Command Center during major incidents by leaving positions open to “other” calls for service.
